Tennessee on Darfur
DarfurScores.org has bought themselves a blogad - money well spent if you ask me. But, in case you haven’t clickied on their ad, it’s worth checking out.
Tennessee Overall rated “C”.
Part of that was outgoing Senator Bill Frist, who earned a ‘B’. Not bad - but it’s embarrassing that our ultra-conservative majority leader lags behind Kansas’ ultra-conservative senator, Sam Brownback - who scored an ‘A+’.
To replace Frist, we choose between Harold Ford who also earned a ‘B’, and Bob Corker, who is so far untested on the issue. I think Corker’s campaign should be pressured to get on record about how he plans to deal with the issue of genocide in the Sudan.
District 3 Congressman Wamp has done dismally on this issue. If you are a constituent, please call him and ask him to treat this issue with the urgency it deserves.
There are scores and contact information for every federal legislator in Tennessee (and in your state, too - if you are from elsewhere).
Please reward those who vote well and hound those who don’t.
