CT, GA - Early Returns

CT - Here, 57-43 in very, very early reporting.
(Update: 52/48 with 50% reporting)

Update: Lamont wins - 52/48. Nice.

I’m also watching the Georgia HR district 4 results, and Cynthia McKinney is getting a real thrubbing! It will be nice for us Democrats to replace this embarrassment in Congress next year.

Update: Johnson beat McKinney. Nice.

Lieberman just conceded. I would have liked to see a wide enough margin to discourage an independent bid by Lieberman, but maybe he’ll do what’s best for the party yet…

From what I am hearing, Lieberman has confirmed he will stay in as independent. Shame.

I heard Joe’s concession speech for a second, then he made a dig about his site being hacked …yeah right, guess the traffic amount had nothing to do with it. Then he asked for support for his new party he just formed and of course he needs us to send some money too. Although Joe won’t vote our way and insults the netroots, he still thinks of us as checkbooks. Nice.

All I have to say about Cynthia McKinney is, “Thank God that bitch is gone!” But, she wasn’t without a couple of stabs with her famous “blame game”, stating that:

– The McKinney Web site noted voting machines not working or mysteriously casting incorrect ballots, “insecure” voting equipment, police harassment, and poll workers refusing to hand out Democratic ballots.

At one campaign stop Tuesday, McKinney said, “We also had a problem at Midway [elementary school polling place], where my name was not on the ballot,” McKinney said.

“My opponent’s name was on the ballot. … We are disappointed that the secretary of state’s office has not dealt adequately with these electronic voting machines and the deficiencties. Also, polling places have opened up and some of the machines were not zero-counted out. … And that is a problem. That is a serious problem.” –

If this woman was an “average Jane on the street”, she’d be considered a freakin’ nutjob (ok, a good bit of Georgian’s already know she is). Typical of a lot of people nowadays; when things go right, they made it happen. When things go wrong, it’s someone (or something) else’s fault.
