Tonight is the night

Originally I was not going to watch any of the Republican Convention. But then I had a friend text me last night at about 10:15 PM with a message that read, “now I know what the fiddling sounded like while Rome was burning.” So I turned it on for a while but it is just to painful to sit through. The empty seats. The fake enthusiasm. Hell I have to give them points for even having one at all.

But tonight I will be front and center to hear the female version of The Chosen One.  The nomination of Sarah Palin has already made this convention more fun than a Lieberman or a Huckabee ever could have. When I was first told that McCain had chosen Palin the first thing out of my mouth was the same thing that came out of many mouths before mine.

“Who?” I asked. The McCain supporter who broke the news to me didn’t know her either so he googled it and sent me a wikipedia link. I still have not read it. I am just letting the information of who she is get to me the same way it is getting back to McCain. Via the Media.

Well. Mike Murphy and Peggy Noonan have their opinions and I have mine. But I really thought it would be impossible to beat Lieberman for pure popcorn eating, convention watching value.

But I was wrong. This is glorious.

I haven’t watched a convention speech yet & I don’t intend to start now. Let me know how it plays out.

I thought Rudy was funny.

I just caught the tail end of Rudy and how can he not be funny? He is funny just looking into a camera. When he said “Republicans will help grow jobs” I did have to laugh.
