		<description>So, yeah - I don't think any of us can help being presidential romantics. I don't look for any great new programs from a new president (though we may end up with affordable health care, which would be nice).

My interest is mainly a reaction against the mind-boggling things done by the current guy.  I need to see that we won't have somebody go further in that direction.  If GWB had held on to his campaign promises from 2000 and done nothing else, I would probably not even be interested in politics right now.  My leftward temperament would probably wish we had "better" government, but I probably wouldn't ever think or talk about it. 

One way or the other, I feel like the best any of us can do is to try to make a positive difference within our own families and communities, keep good attitudes, and excercise good critical thinking skills.  Voting every year or two is a good thing to do, but it's not very meaningful in the grand scheme of things.</description>
