Reason# 413 McCain will be the next POTUS…
… and our long national nightmare will continue…
It’s a shame really. I wonder if Jeremiah Wright will get a footnote when “The Decline and Fall of…” book is written.
Update: I should add… the focus of this post is about the weird cultural reasons that this country will continue to self-destruct over the next few years. But it is worth mentioning, too, that some of Wright’s comments are tasteless - some are indefensible. The “GDUSA” remark is tasteless and to some it might be offensive. The remark that 9/11 represented the U.S. “chickens coming home to roost” was practically Falwellian & is indefensible. Several of his specific criticisms of U.S. policy are presented in black-and-white terms that do not do the issues justice.
So, Wright is a scoundrel.
I absolutely do not believe that Wright being a scoundrel of this sort is a good reason for anyone to vote against Barack Obama. But they will vote against Barack Obama and for John McCain - or at best will stay home, for that reason and for other, similar reasons I’ve mentioned here before.
It will prove the undoing of even more of our civil rights, our democratic form of government, our military strength, our moral standing in the world, and it will prove the undoing of the lives of hundreds, thousands or millions of our own military men and women, those of overseas nations (probably Iran), and those of innocent civilians.
Consider this post a lamentation.

I would disagree.
Yes, it was inflamatory, but looking at his statements outside the puview of Mainstream white “manifest destiny” he did have underlying points.
Our country has killed many innocents overseas and did little in the way or paying reperations. Still does little. 9/11 was bad, but in they eyes of others who have been oppressed by America, either at home or abroad, 9/11 was a wake up call.
God Damn America? White children can follow all the rules and never be pulled over for “driving while black” or your sons be searched “just because”.
Tut tutting over voiced anger at injustice when you do not have to personally encounter it, is assinine. Black son’s are not fetishized by the adult industry and their daughters live under the ruberic that if they are ever attacked and or raped their is a statistical better chance that the chance their attacker will be caught and sent to prison is the same level as it was for white woment in 1945.
That minister was addressing an anger at injustice within the Black community. The person who looked at the issue in black and white is the person who owns this blog.
While I do not know the race of the owner of this blog, I will say that if you are African American you display a dazzeling level of innocense.
No wonder our religion has such problems with black recruitement. It is this level of incompetent mindlessness that results in black people entering our churches and saying “Oh Puulleeeze I do not need this foolishness”.
