Associated Content released their 08′ predictions a little over a month ago…but a lot has happened since then.

Luke with the Sporting News released his predictions about the same time.

…Here are my picks for 08′.

NL Eastern Division:

1st place - New York Mets

2nd place - Atlanta Braves

3rd place - Philadelphia Phillies

4th place - Washington Nationals

5th place - Florida Marlins

NL Central Division:

1st place - Milwaukee Brewers

2nd place - Chicago Cubs

3rd place - St Louis Cardinals

4th place - Houston Astros

5th place - Cincinnati Reds

6th place - Pittsburgh Pirates

NL Western Division:

1st place - Arizona Diamondbacks

2nd place - Los Angeles Dodgers

3rd place - Colorado Rockies

4th place - San Diego Padres

5th place - San Francisco Giants

NL Wild Card: Atlanta Braves

AL Eastern Division:

1st place - Boston Red Sox

2nd place - New York Yankees

3rd place - Toronto Blue Jays

4th place - Baltimore Orioles

5th place - Tampa Bay Devil Rays

AL Central Division:

1st place - Detroit Tigers

I don’t think Tampa Bay will have any trouble besting Baltimore this year. The O’s stink.

True, I do like the shakeup in Baltimore though. Sometimes good things can happen when you do that. We will see.

Can Glavine give the Braves a shot in the arm that they need on the mound? If they can start hitting for power I think they can make a strong run. The pitching staff is starting to take shape again even at the old age I think they can get back into the playoffs!

Actually, I think the offense is in less doubt than the pitching staff. The offense is one of the best in the NL, without question.

The pitching, though still very formidable, is aged.

To answer your question, yes, if he is healthy I think Tommy will DEFINATELY give the Braves a lift every 5th game…by keeping them \”in the game\”. …but Tommy hasnt been the most durable guy around…he starts to tire around 24 to 28 starts or so.

only an idiot would pick Baltimore to finish ahead of Tampa Bay!
