To the Champeenship
First: Buck, my condolences to your Dawgs. Honestly, they are among a few SEC east teams that I think better deserve a shot at the prize.
Second: O Lord, I didn’t think I was going to survive that contest with Kentucky. All my optimism of the first half vanished when Fulmer’s second-half-deficient Vols took the field and started giving up screen pass after screen pass, yard after yard to Wooden & his crew. I had no idea one tiny body had the wherewithal to produce that much cortisol and sustain dangerous levels of it through four overtimes.
Finally: Hallelujah - somehow, we pulled it out. And now the fear and loathing can begin. If we can’t win decisively, please let us lose that way. I can’t survive four more overtimes.

Don’t feel sorry for me Smijer. The Dawgs are #4 and don’t have to play again until January 1st.
Tennessee kicked our ass in Knoxville this year. It is only fitting and proper that they get to play LSU in the big game. I would not be surprised to see them win the game. LSU has to be bummed about being knocked out of any hope of playing in the national championship game. They may be viewing the SEC championship as a poor consolation prize.
And it is my opinion that until there is a play off system put in place the National Championship is just a popularity contest.
10-2 is a good season no matter who you are or where you play. And Georgia only played one really lousy game this year and they played it in Knoxville.
