Glorious Autumn
I got up this morning to not only be sure the TiVo was recording a replay of last nights glorious win in Tuscaloosa but to also usher in the first day of fall.
The first day of fall is really when we should all have a tree up and buy each other gifts. It is the first day of the greatest time of year.
So I’m bumbling around in the bedroom darkness trying to get ready to go out for my Sunday morning round of disc golf and my wife asks “What are you doing up so early?” I explain to her that I am up to celebrate the autumnal equinox. She asks me “so what do you see when we reach the autumn equinox?” I told her that you do not see anything. It is not like an eclipse or anything like that. There are no visibile signs.
And then out of the utter pitch that is bedroom darkness at 5:51 AM the first day of autumn she very matter-of-factly said, “Just please get out of here”.
So I did.
Happy Fall Ya’ll!!

You can tell, a very wise woman.
