Long weekend over

If you had a 3 day weekend I hope it was a good one.

I had a 4 day weekend but a great portion of my Friday was taken up at the doctors office. The other half was another story.

After we left the hospital my wife insisted that she had to go and get her toes done. I told her that was fine with me. I would just sit in the car and read until she had that taken care of. It was only moments after she got into the nail salon that my cell phone started ringing. She insisted that I come in and get a pedicure. I laughed and hung up. The phone rings again…and again…and again. My wife is persistent.

I am weak. I will admit that. After substantial badgering I went in. Before I knew it I had a gorgeous young woman of Hispanic origin massaging my legs and trimming my toe nails. It was incredible. It costs twice as much as a haircut but it is 10 times better. I will do it again but next time I will go alone. There is just something about sitting in a room full of women while someone washes and sands your feet. I felt like royalty. Sitting there with a bottle of water in a reclining chair that massages you up and down your back. Soft, gentle fingers going in and out between your toes and then having your calves kneaded like bread dough. Oh God. I had no idea. She topped it off with a clear coat of finish on my toe nails and they are still shining today.

Of course while I was stretched out enjoying the moment my wife secetly took a picture with her phone and in seconds everybody in the family had a photo of the event. I realized then why she was so insistent. The smile on her face said it all. She was just letting the family know that she still has me in the palm of her hand.

And to be honest with you there is no place I would rather be.

tiz a fine thang ye writ, sir, n yer rite whar ye orta be. lots of folks dont real eyes that, but tiz thar loss …

Buck, have you ever saw a foot that got infected after a pedi?

I have never seen a foot that got infected after a pedicure Ben. I might do a google image search and see what I find. But the lady took a lot of time to show me how sterile the environment was and told me that the lady from the state who comes by and checks on that kind of thing ended up having a pedicure done while she was there. Supposedly the nail salon I was in is the cleanest in North Georgia. So I think I’ll keep on taking my chances.

And you’re right Buddy Don. The realization that everything is exactly as it should be does tend to calm you down a little.

But there are times when that is harder to see than others.

Glad you enjoyed yourself…but I want to see the picture. If my husband sees other men there he might actually go.
