Mrs. G and I will hit 11 years next month, and you're absolutely right - the time passes in the blink of a freakin' eye. 10 years ago, when we were but newlyweds, I was fresh out of graduate school, we had just taken possession of the land on which we would eventually build our house, and my wife had just started working at the hospital. 10 years gone in a blink. One house, two kids, a Harley and a camper later, and we've gone from being a <b>couple</b> to being a <b>family</b>. I like it this way... Congrats Buck & Mrs. Buck!!!

Wow. 26 years. Weird coincidence, today is my wife's 40th birthday!!!!! Actually, a good reason that I've been "away" from the blogosphere of late is because my present to her was a compilation of photographs & videos of her taken since she & I first started going steady waaaaaaay back in 1982 along with video of many of her friends wishing her a happy birthday at the end. I tell you, going through all the old stuff in the closets (a full day) and then scanning each picture one by one (six hours) and then working your way around various pieces of software that all glitch when you get above 100 pics/videos while creating a DVD can take a bit of time. Actually, about a month's worth when one considers a full-time job as well as doing this all while she's not looking were factors. Also weird coincidence: I got my statements from my various investments yesterday (the 401K is doing primo!) and I discussed via phone with my wife the prospect of targeting a period when we'll both officially retire and spend the rest of our lives traveling and playing with grandkids: about <b>26 years from now</b>, Buck.
