The weigh in (285.5)
285.5 this morning guys.
Without looking back I think I was 291 last time I posted it up. It has been about a month.
So I am not going to bitch about 6 pounds. I always wish it was more but I know I have to be realistic about it. I was at 285.8 about a week or so ago and suddenly found myself back up to 290. The reason being salted peanuts. I know I need to be militant about what I put in my pie hole but damn. Salted peanuts. Ain’t that what the streets of heaven are paved with?
I had to get myself measured for a tux last Saturday due to the upcoming wedding of my daughter. I am comfortable in a 52 regular. When my youngest daughter got married back in September of last year I was a 56 regular. So progress is being made.
My wife pulled out the jacket I got married in. I had no idea we even still had it. We are talking about a 43 regular ladies and gentlemen. I got my arms in it. Barely. It was a straight jacket. My wife had to help me take it off. I don’t believe I will ever get into a 43 regular again. Hell I am not even sure I want to.
I am 4.5 pounds away from what I had hoped to lose all year. Last night my blood pressure was 120 over 70. I hope that by June 1st I will see 279.9 never to see 280 again.
Onward and downward!

I restarted my diet on Monday. My wife’s illness last month coupled with my own two weeks ago caused a slight setback. I’ve already lost some weight so I need to keep it off while gaining back the upper-body mass that I’d lost (a tougher thing for me than losing weight).
About the salted peanuts. Don’t sweat it. Unless you ate a huge amount, the weight you gained is simply water weight caused by the excess salt. Unless you have high blood pressure, it’s no problem: you’ll end up peeing it out within 24-36 hours. Just laying off the salt for a day & drinking a lot of water washes it away. I usually gain 3 pounds after a mexican dining experience (a lot of chips & salsa) and lose it back within two days.
You are awesome, Buck.
