Tuesday is Clock in for Equality. I don’t suppose I will participate this year, for lack of planning. Maybe I will set a calendar reminder for next year. Via Spirituality at Work.
This fellow takes a rather dim view of Occam’s Razor, with some reason. I have some reservations. I would mention that he overlooks the conditional clause in the Razor (each lemma must be equally well attested by the evidence, for it to apply). I would also mention that “simplest” is to Occam’s Razor as “survival of the fittest” is to evolution. That is to say, the two ideas do not completely overlap. In it’s modern form, Occam’s Razor favors those theories which require the fewest assumptions and ad hoc postulates to justify. Often, this is the “simpler” theory. Sometimes it is not. For instance: the theory of Christmas gifts that includes only one Santa, with one set of super-luminally rapid reindeer, and a sleigh built somewhat like a Tardis … That’s relatively simple compared to the theory that Mom & Dad, sister Suzie, brother Don, grandma Moses, grandpa Don, and a host of other people - some of which are unknown to each recipient - being the process by travelling to various buildings (in various parts of town, or in other towns entirely). They purchase gifts made in many different countries that were shipped by rail, boat, airplane and truck. They bring those gifts to their own homes, where they are wrapped in paper and ribbons similarly acquired. They then arrange for those gifts to be placed surreptitiously under the tree on Christmas morning. I think it’s clear which theory is simpler. But, you don’t have to assume much of anything for the more complex theory to be true - Mom, Dad & the rest are knowns. Retailers, suppliers, and transportation providers are knowns. The Christmas tradition of gift-giving is a known. Santa? Known, perhaps, from the Macy’s parade and the mall. The Reindeer - rarely seen, never seen flying. Magic to let the reindeer fly? Not a known. You get the idea.

Iron Chariots is a counter-apologetics wiki in its infancy. Not much action there at the present. (Via somebody, but I’ve forgotten who).
Alice spots a funny business sign.
Have a nice Tuesday.

Just don’t tell Mom that June was on Dad.
But you have to give props to Joy’s Flowers. They didn’t waste any time after Mothers Day to jump on the Fathers Day bandwagon.
I really don’t know how I would react to a dozen roses.
