How about that Crompton?

What a helluva QB we’ve got!

I mean, he hit every reciever he threw to…its just Lane Kiffin’s fault that Crompton didnt know to hit the Orange instead of the White.

I might have to double check but I  think Crompton threw for more UCLA yardage than their own freshman QB.

Forget about being ranked! This was a “must win” …a freshman UCLA QB coming into Neyland??

Some ESPN radio guy “naysayer” gave the Vols a 14 pt spread just because of that fact…and I am not going to be as stupid as saying that he jinxed us! Hell no he didnt jinx us, …our QB just sucks boiled egg farts…thats all!

Gimme a break!

Jonathan “cried” about getting so called “death threats” last year…I’ll bet dollars to peso’s that those threats didnt come from southern Cal!

What a #$%^& idiot!

Everyone on board the Lane Train for the SEC Championship?

  • Not a mite bitter are we? Well, me, too.

  • i caint tell ye how much of a dissapointmint that game wuz! we are so doomd fer next week in the swamp. is it too early to start hallucinatin bout next year?

  • He was bad. Nah. He was pathetic. The guy is 22 years old and I don’t see him getting much better down the road. Bench him and play Stephens and start preparing for next year. Give the underclassmen some playing time.

I am disappointed that Tauren Poole is not getting any playing time. I think a set of fresh legs could have helped in the fourth quarter. But I am biased when it comes to Poole. And the fact is that Tennessee has a fine stable of running backs.

It is a hell of a note when the weakest link in the chain is the quarterback.

And what can anybody say about Florida? I hate ‘em. No doubt about it I hate ‘em. But by god they have no weaknesses and are as strong and well coached as any team in college football.

Papaw predicted a 42-10 Florida win against Big Orange this weekend. He and I both suffered through the UCLA debacle and then I went home and almost had a stroke watching Georgia squeak by South Carolina.

Man my hair is getting whiter and whiter and whiter. I may be bald by the end of this year.

  • I just keep thinking it’s got to be some kind of practical joke. I didn’t expect us to come out and win 9 games, but I expected to see some kind of direction… I can cope with losing – even if the score was worse than it was. I have a hard time with it looking like we’re not even trying.

  • You guys have great talent. I was mightily impressed with the defense. And the offense would be just fine if you had a quarterback.

I don’t want to shit all over Crompton but the truth is the truth. He is not an SEC caliber football player. I think he is a 5th year senior but he plays at the level of a red shirt freshman.

We have a similar situation here at GA. Cox is an average quarterback and I can’t help but believe that we could get average out of a freshman or sophomore and at least we would be getting a player ready for next year. As it is Cox is going to get all of the game experience this year and we will find ourselves right back in the same stew of crap we are in now. Playing somebody who has taken a minimum of snaps and not ready for prime time until the middle of the season.

After losing Stafford and Moreno I did not expect Georgia to light up the nation this year but I also did not expect the kind of performance we saw in Stillwater.

There was some improvement against South Carolina but South Carolina is a middle tier program at best.

Good God I dread Florida and LSU.
