I got used to this as much as I ever will, during the Bush administration. The press is, to an unfortunate degree, a vehicle for the White House media agenda. Fox News more and the others less when the President has an R next to his name. And the other way around when he has a D. But still.

Man the perspective adjuster is incredible to say the least.
You know, darkness was on the face of the deep until the Lord said “Let there be Light!”
And the guy who signed off on that ridiculous New York photo op needs to be retired. Damn that was dumb. Nowadays if you want a goofy picture of Air Force One in front of the Statue of Liberty just photoshop it. Much cheaper and just as effective to folks who get goose bumps over that kind of stuff. I’ve seen an Eagle with tears running down his beak. Surely we can get an image of Air Force One waving at Lady Liberty.
How do you know that OB did not order the photo op or have knowledge of it?
I take him at his word. If it turns out he is lying, it won’t be the first time a President lied to us, but I don’t have any particular reason to believe he is in this case.
I just can’t imagine somebody asking the President for permission to fly Air Force One low and slow over the Statue of Liberty. And also adding that it is important to be sure nobody else knows it is going to happen.
That whole thing makes no sense whatsoever to me.
