I had a hard time convincing myself that this wasn’t satire. Wow. I grew up in a rural place, but not on a farm. I had to order a blow-up mule via mail order.

I thought it was a joke too. I still hope it is.

I have lived in my little northeast corner of Georgia all of my 51 years and until today I had never heard of The Creators Rights Party or Neal Horsley.

I did have a guy once tell me that when it came to sex with watermelons you “din’t keer if hit wuz red or yeller meat” (apologies to Buddy Don)

I keep waitin’ on mama to run through the door clapping her hands together and sayin’ “You hush your mouth. You know better than that!”

She still does that to me and my brother when we get together and start this kind of thing.

I will sure miss it when she is gone.
