Hard to believe that these things are less than 50 miles from my house and I have never gone to see them.
It is now officially on my list of things to do.

Holy cow – I had no idea. I’m still halfway through the article, but I’m adding the stop to my future travel plans, too… How could this be there all my life & I never hear about it before today?
I never heard of it, either. Then again, other than on automobile tags, I’ve never seen anything from Elbert county. I was reminded when I was checking the map just in case I could meet up with Jay G on his trip to Disney, Georgia is a biiiiig state.
Heck, this thing is THREE MILES from my house (measured, yep, three whole miles), I have a son with autism that loves trains & dinosaurs, yet I’ve never even pulled into its parking lot. Been to the Waffle House that’s 200 yards from it, though!
Gentlemen I have officially decided that I will be there at noon on December 21st, 2012.

I am going to get there by 11:00 AM. I want to be sure and finish my bucket of KFC before the comet hits!
Be sure to take a cooler to bring back souvenir chunks of end-of-the-world-comet ice!
