Obama plan to privatize Veteran healthcare sucks.
Apparently, it’s Kosher to eat eggs with blood spots, so long as they aren’t from free-range hens.
The Unmerciful King (Revisited)
So I think Herzog remains on solid ground. The Unmerciful Servant is really about an unmerciful king who was not a cipher for God. This wasn’t a kingdom parable from the lips of Jesus. It was about the futility of armed revolts and popular kingship, a message which fully coheres with Jesus’ teachings elsewhere.
George Washington’s Twitter feed.
Via the Public Interest, David Frum points out that Paranoia sells. How was it Paul Simon put it?
Paranoia strikes deep in the heartland
But I think it’s all overdone,
Exaggerating this, Exaggerating that,
They don’t have no fun.I dont believe what I read in the papers
They’re just out to capture my dime,
I aint worrying
And I aint scurrying;
Im having a good time.[...]
Maybe Im laughing my way to disaster,
Maybe my race has been run,
Maybe Im blind to the fate of mankind
But what can be done?
So God bless the goods we was given,
And God bless the U S of A
And God bless our standard of livin’,
Lets keep it that way

I have been fascinated by the sudden uptick in the ratings of Glenn Beck.
I enjoy watching Beck but there is no way that I believe that he believes half of what he says. He is fun to watch but in a point and laugh kind of way.
I used to love to listen to Chuck Harder for the same reasons.
Sometimes I enjoy listening to his radio show. I always find myself rooting for him. I guess it’s because he’s such a kid & he’s trying so hard. I always feel sorry for him by the time it’s over. But he must be doing something right to get the kind of following he’s gotten.
He has fun and loves what he does. It translates.
J. Styles said that he enjoys Beck too. Strange coming from him.
Go Phil Valentine! (*blech!*)
