Fanboy’s Happy Thanksgiving
My Thanksgiving was made yesterday when my sweetie brought me home a one dollar DVD from the bargain bin at the grocery store. It’s Jewel, Live at Humphrey’s by the Bay. My goodness, but I can’t get enough of Jewel.
One of my all-time favorites was a recording she paired up with Merle Haggard for, and though embedding is disallowed, you can follow this link to watch the two of them perform “That’s the Way Love Goes” live at the Grammys.
Yuck !
“I’ve been throwing horseshoes over my left shoulder. I’ve spent most all my life searching for that four leaf clover”
One of the best opening lines ever written.
Great song and great performance. Sometimes $1.00 is all it takes!
Every time I see or hear Jewel, I’m reminded of one of Atlanta’s rock station zoo-crew type morning show commercials: “Jewel. We don’t play her. But, we’d do her”.
