Full Spectrum Dominance

I do not fully endorse the message of this video, with my limited understanding of the situation in the Caucuses. Nevertheless, this is the side of the story we don’t get to hear in the American press, and it is one at least worth chewing over a little bit.

  • Discouraging but by no means surprising.

Wars are always fought over money, raw materials and full spectrum dominance.

Freedom and Liberty is how you sell it to the rubes who are going to die for it.

    Robert Scheer?
    Started by Georgia?
    We ‘lured’ Russia into Afghanistan?

    Wow.

  • Started by Georgia?

Georgia definitely started firing first in S.O. Of course, S.O. isn’t Russia, so Russia’s move doesn’t follow from Georgia’s.. In a way, they both “started it”.

    We ‘lured’ Russia into Afghanistan?

To quote Zbigniew Brezenski in his 1998 interview with Le Nouvel Oservateur:

Brzezinski: Yes. According to the official version of history, CIA aid to the Mujahadeen began during 1980, that is to say, after the Soviet army invaded Afghanistan, 24 Dec 1979. But the reality, secretly guarded until now, is completely otherwise Indeed, it was July 3, 1979 that President Carter signed the first directive for secret aid to the opponents of the pro-Soviet regime in Kabul. And that very day, I wrote a note to the president in which I explained to him that in my opinion this aid was going to induce a Soviet military intervention.

So, we LURED the USSR into invading Afghanistan.

    Good.
    Lord.

  • Think of it as you wish. As I said, I don’t endorse the message of the video. I’m just glad someone is telling the other side of the story. The media has been very unbalanced on this one, and not in a way that is required by the objective facts.

  • I don’t know who started it but I know who finished it.
