A New Year
And I sure hope it turns out to be a good one for everybody.
One thing is for sure and for certain. I go back to work today for the first time in 11 days. I have spent the last 11 days virtually unplugged from the world. I was probably one of the last people to hear about the deaths of Gerald Ford, James Brown and Saddam Hussein.
But in about 6 hours I will have to climb back into the daily grind. I should be in bed right now but the Fiesta Bowl wound me up like a watch. That was probably the best football game I have ever seen. I almost always love it when David nails Goliath and when Goliath gets nailed by a two point conversion in overtime it is especially sweet.
It is hard to believe that it is still one week before the National Championship game. So I’ll get to stay up late watching Louisville and Wake Forest tonight and Notre Dame vs. LSU tomorrow night and stare glassy-eyed into a computer terminal all day today, tomorrow and the next day.
I guess 2007 is starting out to be very similar to 2006.

You may have noticed, I’m kind of out of the loop lately, too… I have a lot going on lately at home & at work. I also had a loss last week (my grandmother). I’ll probably be quiet for a while… please overlook me.
