I had trouble placing him when he was announced. Turns out he’s one of the Iran/Contra unindicted conspirators. He’ll fit right in. Watch out, Daniel Ortega, and any Nicaraguan Nuns who value not being bombed & raped!

When Gates was announced today, I called my dad (works at TAMU) and we both knew the name and the Gates name had connections to Bush, but could not place it. After googling and taking a trip down memory lane..oh yes… Reagan, Iran Contra affair, etc… then we spoke about the present Gates and why is he put in place? Iran again, of course. Holy ____ “Meet the New Boss, same as the Old Boss”.
We need to stop this confirmation a.s.a.p. !!!!!

Gates may be the choice because Bush wants to see just how willing the new guys are to fight.
I guess time will tell.
I like Gates, I wouldnt have this wonderful Windows software to use to post on this wonderful website without his business expertise. Also, I wish everyone would leave Ortega alone. He hasnt done anything bad in a short while and I also like his easy to fix taco dinners.
