Sounds Like a Conspiracy Theory…

… but the declassified documents (PDF) make it look like a conspiracy fact. Via Reality Me, the Joint Chiefs of Staff and other high-level kooks in the government really planned - and recommended their plan to JFK and McNamara - to fake a pretext for war with Cuba, including ideas for faking terrorists attacks against the U.S., faking Cuban military aggression, and paying officers in the Cuban military to actually launch an attack. The article is at ABC News.

Apparently, JFK told the Joint Chiefs to go pound sand, and kicked the chairman to the curb.

What would Bush have done?

Apparently, JFK told the Joint Chiefs to go pound sand, and kicked the chairman to the curb.

And wound up with a bullet in the back of his head.

But does it surprise you to find out that a government, any government, might be willing to sacrifice citizens for what they deem to be the overall good?

When it comes to starting a war most any excuse will do even if we have to make them up as we go along.
