Call for help: Vote No on #1 - anti-marriage amendment
I mentioned the organizational meeting for the campaign against the anti-marriage amendment last week.
This is an update. The coordinator came down from Nashville to help set a Chattanooga organization in motion. I feel she was disappointed - while we had some turnout for the meeting, we did not leave with a volunteer coordinator, or really anyone who volunteered to do much of anything. A couple of guys went to plant yard signs around town - little else. If you can help - or you want to take on the coordinating responsibility, please contact me (you can use the old smijer.com contact page to e-mail me.) I can’t do much, but I can contact the campaign for help getting you moving in the right direction. Of course, there is also always a need for donations. Be generous, if you can.
This can be beaten - but it will take work.
